The fact that I had to get my old Windows CD, and take the time to install it virtually simply to get my new Remote Controll is just.... just sad..
Logitech should get many Ubuntu useres at theire doorstep, telling them to make the software for Linux aswell...!

When you play a .mp3 for the first time, you get the option to download the right codec. This works like a charm.
When I open a flash website, the same thing happens.
So why not do the same with Windows Media in Firefox?
There is not that many sites left that use Windows media, but some of those sites that do, is big. Like newspaper and stuff.
After the upgrade to Hardy, I can no longer play Windows media in firefox. I don't know if the mplayer-plugin is messed up in its config files, or if there is other issues behind.
But I would really like the same option on these kind of websites as i get on flash websites.
So when I pressed the little 'fix-it-for-me' button, thing would just start to work again!
Why ain't it so?
This should be implemented

From what I know, Ubuntu cannot install the restricted codecs (mp3 and others) due to different legal differents in different contry's.
Well, I guess there is some representants from countrys all over the world that is capable to know if it is safe to install the codecs in theire countrys.
So why not make the codec get automaticly installed when you choose your langauge/nationality in the OS install wizard?
If it is possible, then this would reduce the matter of this issue at least to "some" lower level
