At the moment it's possible to manage traditional wired and WiFi connections using Network Manager. To connect via a modem, a 3G/GPRS card, over bluetooth to a cell phone or via USB to another device requires that the user installs extra packages, and does a fair amount of configuration that isn't found in Network Manager.

A single unified tool should be provided which allows the user to connect to a network (or internet) via any supported method. It would also be useful to provide an extension to this tool to manage firewall rules and network connection sharing.

TabletPC Package or edition

Have a tabletpc edition or install package that will have support for all of the latest tabletpc drivers and include journal software like OneNote in one package.

Also, the handwrite input palette should be included as well as support for easy rotation.

I would be proud to have an ubuntu credit and or debit card, and let canonical keep the profit from fee's etc.

It seems to be a viable idea for making profit for canonical.

I see that in openSUSE, with "ifup" i cant canfigure my network conection with more than 1 Fixed IP, that is very usefull to me, but i don't have this option in *ubuntu (at least in a graphical mode).
