If there is an option to set a shutdown at a specified time such as 10:30 pm with some message like "Go to Bed !" with a cound down timer of 60 Seconds. Of course it seems to be a big brother of 'Typing Breaks'. A dialog for snoozing or cancelling the shutdown will do.

I dont see any good todo-list/task manager with ubuntu. I use tasque [ http://live.gnome.org/Tasque] which integrates well with RTM [ https://www.rememberthemilk.com/]. Ubuntu should ship a good task/todo-list manager. It should also integrate it with the system applications like tomboy, clipboard, mail-client and other applications online managers, phone etc. A good feature with online managers like RTM is that they interpret the text to detect
- what the task is
- what are the timings involved
- dates involved
- location (area/city/state/country) etc
Reminding the task with snoozing would be ideal. An example would be
- If I copy paste a chat log which says "call me at 12345678 at 7pm today" then it should be marked in the todo manager with a default priority.

type in file name to insert current date

I need to create dated folders and timed files regularly.
dated folder means a folder with name 29.09.08 and timed files means files with names like 3.24pm.txt etc
It would be cool to employ some type of command substitution while renaming files like if I type <date> it would insert date or <now> for time. Much like spreadsheet software do.
Maybe a plugin for nautilus or something else. What do you think?
