Large music databases in amarok work very slow with sqlite
Written by Vanostaajen the 27 Feb 09 at 22:52. Already implemented
When I first played my music in amarok t was slow, but ok. But after a while(adding more music) it was so sluggish. I looked on the Internet and everyone there used mysql or Postgresql or their music database. So I ound a "how to" and failed miserably trying to get it to work. A week later I tried again with another "how to" and this time it worked and now my I can smoothly scroll true my music. So I'm happy that it works great, but I'm sad that a user has to go true so much trouble(I've spent hours behind my pc, working in the terminal).

Solution #1: automated installation of Mysql
Written by Vanostaajen the 27 Feb 09 at 22:52.
When you first start amarok, you can choose which database to use. But when you choose mysql it doesn't work. It would be better if you would just click it and actually have msql functioning.

And also: an option to change from sqlite to mysql.
